The Seward County Sheriff’s Department says a deputy was getting gas for his patrol vehicle on Monday when he detected the smell of burnt marijuana coming from a vehicle that was also stopped to get fuel. The sheriff’s department says this led the deputy to search the vehicle where a small amount of marijuana, two pounds of crystal methamphetamine and two handguns were found.
The vehicle was occupied by three people, two of which are convicted felons. 33 year old Tyrell Gill of Las Vegas and 49 year old Mario Moore of Fernley, Nevada were arrested for possession of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony and Possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
30 year old Megan Shunick of Las Vegas was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, no drug tax stamp, and possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony.
All three were booked into the Seward County Detention Center.
