Lincoln Man Sentenced For Drug & Firearm Charges

A 46 year old Lincoln man was sentenced to 15 years behind bars following a conviction for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams ore more of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana after a prior conviction for a serious felony drug offense.

Roger Alan Vaughn was also sentenced to 90 months for being a felon in possession of a firearm. That sentence was ordered to be served concurrent to the sentence for the drug offense. Following his release from prison, Vaughn will serve concurrent supervised released of 10 years on the drug offense and three years on the gun charge. Vaughn was sentenced in the federal court system and there is no parole.

On November 1, 2020, a search warrant was served at Vaughn’s Lincoln residence. Investigators found 150 grams of methamphetamine, just under one once of cocaine, and four pounds of marijuana. They also found nine firearms that included four shotguns, two rifles, and three handguns.

In 2004, Vaughn was convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the District of Nebraska.

This case was investigated by the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force.
