In person voting is now underway at the Lancaster County Election Commissioner’s Office for the June 28th special election to fill the Congressional seat vacated by the resignation of Jeff Fortenberry.
Patty Pansing-Brooks received the Democrat nod and Mike Flood is running as a Republican. The election will determine who will finish the final six months of Fortenberry’s term.
“In-person early voting started today, May 31 and so people can come in and vote in person in our office,” says Lancaster County Election Commissioner Dave Shively.
He says early voting by mail begins June 10th and the last day to request a ballot by mail for the special election is June 17.An early/absentee ballot request form is on the Election Commissioner’s web site at: www.lancaster.ne.gov/election.
The Election Commissioner’s Office which is located at 601 North 46th Street and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
