Nebraska football isn’t looking at week after week of games starting at noon and earlier like in year’s past.

The Big Ten Conference released the kickoff times for several weeks with Nebraska in a good position. The Huskers open the season Aug. 27 in Ireland against Northwestern with an 11:30 a.m. CT start. That’s 5:30 p.m. in Dublin with the game being televised on FOX.

FOX will also carry the Oklahoma game Sept. 17. That is slated for their prime slot of 11 a.m. with Big Noon Kickoff coming to Lincoln.

The home opener Sept. 3 against North Dakota will kickoff at 2:30 p.m.

Nebraska will get their first of a few night games Sept 10. That game against Georgia Southern is slated for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on FS1.

Other night games announced are Homecoming against Indiana Oct. 1 at either 6 or 6:30 pm., with the network to be determined. The Friday, Oct. 7 game at Rutgers will kickoff at 6 p.m. on FS1.

The Black Friday game against Iowa is set for a 3 p.m. start on BTN.

Kickoff times and television destinations for the other five games will be determined during the season.
