In its 10-year history, the annual Give To Lincoln Day has raised more than $41 million including over $8 millions last year. Nearly 30,000 donations were made in 2021. The larger purpose of Give to Lincoln Day is to promote philanthropy in Lincoln and Lancaster County.
Lincoln Community Foundation organizes the event and provides a match fund for non-profits that will receive a proportional share of $500,000.
LCF President and CEO Alex Gorynski told KLIN News that early donations and planned IRA qualified charitable distribution gifts are pacing ahead of last year’s level and is hopeful the community responds to Thursday’s event.
Donations can be made online at https://www.givetolincoln.com/ , offline by checks and dropped off at the LCF office, at all Lincoln locations of presenting sponsor West Gate Bank or at the Tower Square Festival between 10 am and 2 pm at Tower Square at 13th & P Street.
