Two Men Shot To Death At Lincoln House Party

By Tom Stanton May 23, 2022 | 11:24 AM

Lincoln police are continuing their investigation after two men were shot to death inside a house near 30th and P Street early Sunday morning.

Police Chief Teresa Ewins says around 2:20 a.m. a man called 911 and said he’d been shot.  “Upon arrival officers immediately saw blood trails coming from the home.  Officers entered and found two gunshot victims that were were unresponsive.”  She says two men, ages 42 and 26 were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still trying to contact family members before releasing their names. Ewins says shortly after the 911 call, a third shooting victim arrived at a Lincoln hospital. The 19-year-old man is in serious, but stable condition.

Ewins says there was a party going on in the house at the time and many people in the home.  After the shooting people fled and police recovered two handguns.   She says this shooting is not related to the one outside the Gravity Bar near 11th and O Street on Saturday morning.
