Lincoln Police say 57 year old Henry Jones is the man who was killed after a a fight Thursday morning outside a home near 28th and F Street.
Assistant Chief Jason Stille says three people were arrested shortly after the incident. He says all four knew each other and a dispute over property may have sparked the fight. Jones was found unresponsive when officers arrived. He died at the hospital. An autopsy will be done Friday to determine the cause of death.
Stille says they did find a couple of potential weapons at the scene. “There were a couple of items of interest that we ended up gathering. Those I would describe as similar to a bat or a pole.”
32 year old Derrick Pearson and 31 year-old Briana Jelinek were arrested for Manslaughter and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. 25 year old Micah Berggren was arrested for Second Degree Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
