If you’ve been wanting to add a pet to your family now may be a good time. The Capital Humane Society’s Happy Tails Adoption Promotion began Tuesday and will continue through Sunday at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center at 6500 S. 70th Street.
Humane Society officials say both of their facilities are currently caring for lots of dogs and puppies and looking to adopt them to new homes. Adoption fees for dogs and puppies five months and older will be reduced by 50 percent during the promotion. License and rabies deposits may apply.
The adoption center is open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
