One person was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle around 9:20 Tuesday night. It happened on NW 20th and West “O” Street.
“Eastbound vehicle struck a pedestrian that was crossing the street just east of the crosswalk,” says LPD Sergeant Eric Messersmith. “Pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and has life threatening injuries.”
The victim is a 29 year old female. She was still listed in critical condition Wednesday morning.
Witnesses at the scene reported the vehicle was going through the intersection with a green light. The victim was crossing near a crosswalk.
West “O” was shut down for several hours during the investigation, which continues. No citations have been issued.
