Lincoln Parks and Recreation will conduct a controlled burn from noon until 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 10th at the Prairie Corridor southeast of Denton. This is near Southwest 70th Street and West Rokeby Road. The area will be closed until early Wednesday, May 11th.
The public is asked to avoid the area. Controlled burns are used to manage large areas of native plants and grasses. Land managers are monitoring the weather and air quality conditions to ensure a safe event. The burn may be rescheduled do to weather conditions.
