Many Downtown Lincoln Businesses Offer Pet Friendly Experience

By Tom Stanton May 9, 2022 | 2:32 PM

You might not think of Downtown Lincoln as a destination location for you and your pets but it is.  Todd Ogden is the President and CEO of the Downtown Lincoln Association.

“Keeping the pets hydrated, keeping them fed and happy with their treats, that’s something you’re going to find if you walk around downtown.”

Ogden says several businesses and restaurants offer pet friendly experiences.  “We have a window cling with a Downtown Lincoln paw to let them know they are pet friendly.  If I have my pet these are the stores where I can feel comfortable going in where they’ll allow pets.”

He says they have “poo bag” stations located throughout downtown.  Owners can also stop by the Downtown Lincoln Association office and get a pet bandana.  People are encouraged to snap a photo of their pet with the bandana and they will post it on the website.  “We have a whole pet wall from all the past pets that have them with a bandana so they can proudly display their pet throughout the year and have them be in our fury friends hall-of-fame.”
