A 22 year old man is behind bars after a standoff late Sunday night near 30th and Vine. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers were called to a domestic disturbance near 30th and Vine just after 10:00 p.m.
LPD says neighbors reported seeing a man assaulting a female in front of their home. “The resident was identified as Thomas J Doran, 22 years of age,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer. “Doran reportedly fled back into his residence and was seen loading a rifle and pointing it out the window at the gathering group of neighbors.”
Doran exited the residence about two hours later and surrendered to police. He was booked in jail for Domestic Assault, Terroristic Threats, False Imprisonment and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. Police later served a search warrant and found a rifle in the residence.
