The latest chapter in the political drama surrounding the Republican candidates for Governor includes paid advertising by the Charles Herbster campaign targeting his accuser, State Senator Julie Slama.
Herbster filed suit against Slama for defamation and Slama has filed a countersuit calling Herbster’s suit an attempt to bully a sexual assault victim into silence.
Aaron Sanderford reports in the Nebraska Examiner political scientist at UNL Dona-Gene Barton said politicians often attack each other in news conferences or interviews as well as social media.
