Lincoln Police were called to a disturbance around 8:20 Sunday morning that possibly involved a knife near 10th and G. When officers arrived a 51 year old man told them he was talking with a group of people when a woman asked to borrow his cellphone.
“He gave her his phone and she immediately began walking away with it,” says LPD Captain Todd Kocian. “He followed and was asking for his phone back when she pulled out a boxcutter style knife and asked what he was going to do about it.”
Officers contacted 31-year-old Karisma Tomlin near 9th and G a few minutes later and taken into custody. A boxcutter style knife was found in her possession and the cellphone was recovered. Tomlin was arrested for robbery.
Later that day it was discovered Tomlin had given officers her twin sisters name when she was initially arrested. She was then arrested for Criminal Impersonation.
