Lincoln will be hosting the 2022 Nebraska AAU Volleyball Grand Prix Saturday and Sunday. The competition will be held at Speedway Sports Complex and Kinetic Sports Complex. The event is hosted by Nebraska Juniors Volleyball, VCNebraska and the Nebraska Sports Council.
Jeff Maul with Lincoln Convention and Visitor’s Bureau tells LNK Today says more than 125 teams from across the Midwest and up to 40 teams from outside of Nebraska are taking part in the tournament. The competition is for athletes 11-18 years of age. “A couple of great indoor volleyball facilities. We’ve never been able to do something like this, bringing together two relatively new facilities to host an event of this level.”
The top two teams in each division will receive medals and will qualify for national competitions in Orlando, FL, Las Vegas, NV or the Phoenix, AZ.
