The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department is giving residents a chance to do some spring cleaning and dispose of household hazardous waste at two upcoming drive-through collection events.
The first event will be Friday, April 29 from 2-6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Waverly. On Saturday, April 30 there will be a drop off opportunity at Star City Shores at 4375 S. 33rd Court in Lincoln.
The health department says lawn and garden chemicals and automotive and cleaning products are among the many items that will be accepted. Residents will drive up and stay in their vehicles as the chemicals are unloaded. They encourage residents to put the items in a cardboard or plastic container in the trunk or back of the vehicle.
