Lancaster County authorities say two men were arrested after a homeowner saw them stealing one of his game cameras around 8:45 a.m. Thursday near 112th and Fletcher Avenue. Sheriff Terry Wagner says the victim saw on a game camera the two men stealing a second game camera. They then stole the one he was watching through his cell phone.
Wagner says the suspects left and deputies were able to use the game camera footage to get a partial plate number of the vehicle. That led them to a house near 56th and Hartley. After obtaining a search warrant, Wagner says they found 11 grams of meth in an unattached garage.
“During the search warrant, the game cameras weren’t located but we did recover 11 grams of methamphetamine.” Further investigation led to the discovery of the two stolen game cams.
They arrested 41 year old Jeffrey Smith and 36 year old Benjamin Buresh for possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of burglar’s tools and several misdemeanors.
