The red carpet will be rolled out in July as Lincoln hosts a movie premier. Publicist Andrea Sims tells KLIN News the star-studded documentary “Cinemability” will be shown at the Marcus Lincoln grand Cinema on July 16th.
“It’s a fundraiser. The tickets will be $45 each and you can come and be part of the Hollywood scene on the 16th,” Sims says. The film goes behind the scenes with many Hollywood “A” listers to explore the history of disability portrayals in entertainment. The film features Ben Affleck, Jamie Foxx and Jane Seymour.
Sims says the night before the premier there will be a VIP reception with a number of celebrities who will receive awards that night. “We’ll be giving a lifetime achievement award, we’ll be giving an American Icon Award. A number of celebrities will be here to accept,” Sims says.
They will be rolling out the names of the celebrities who will attend in the next couple of months. She says it’s possible some of the stars of the film will be in Lincoln for the event.
She says Lincoln residents who purchase a ticket for the premier on July 16th will be able to see the celebrities coming in on a red carpet. The fundraiser will benefit the Lincoln-based ARC of Nebraska and Solid Earth Communities. Both organizations support people with disabilities.
