The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office was called to a restaurant in Malcolm Sunday morning on a report of damage to the facility.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says the 27 year old manager of the Genoa Food Company had been in a disagreement with the owner. Nathaniel Babb had quit. Apparently before he locked up Saturday night, he plugged the kitchen sinks and turned on the water. Employees returned to open the restaurant the next day and found four inches of water in the kitchen and water had entered the bar area.
Damage is estimated at $280 but an inspection is underway to check for the possibility of mold.
Babb was cited for criminal mischief.
