The Lincoln Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is investigating the sex trafficking of a teenage girl.
LPD was contacted Wednesday. The girl reported she met a man in his 40’s on social media last September. After chatting for several months, the two met in December. He told her he was a truck driver from Missouri.
The victim told police she was trafficked for sex at truck stops across the country from December of 2021 to February of 2021. She recalled being in Colorado, California, and Missouri.
Police report the girl is again safe and receiving necessary care. The search for the suspect continues.
