The National Weather Service’s Hazardous Weather Outlook outlined expectations as of early Tuesday morning.

Today and Tonight: A few strong to severe storms are possible between 6 PM and 10 PM, mainly along and east of a Beatrice to Omaha to Woodbine, Iowa line. The primary hazard is hail up to golf-ball size. However, a tornado is possible, as are isolated occurrences of damaging winds of 60-70 mph.

A Red Flag Warning has been posted for areas West and South of the Lincoln area.

Wednesday:  Will see the region transition to strong northwest winds with peak gusts near or above 40 mph at times. Some light snow accumulation is then possible on Wednesday night, especially over northeast Nebraska.
