A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of eastern Nebraska and parts of western Iowa from Noon through 9 PM.
Today and tonight Northwest winds are expected to gust in the 30 to 50 mph range today with the strongest in northeast Nebraska.
Dry conditions with relative humidity values of 15 to 25 percent will combine with the winds to lead to very high to extreme fire danger conditions through the afternoon.
Saturday through Thursday: The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.
