Fifth Annual “I Love NU” Day Set For March 23

By Tom Stanton Mar 22, 2022 | 8:58 AM

This is I Love NU week, celebrating the University of Nebraska System’s four campuses.  Students, faculty, staff and friends and supporters of the University of Nebraska system are invited to participate in the fifth annual I Love NU Day from 1 to 3 p.m. March 23 at the Nebraska State Capitol.

The event is an opportunity for individuals to show support for the university and visit with state senators about the work and impact of the university.  The public is welcome to attend.

The day will begin with a welcome from state senators and university leadership, including President Ted Carter. Attendees will then gather in the legislative chamber balcony to be recognized, and then will have time to speak with senators in the Rotunda, engage with other university supporters or listen to legislative debate.

As part of the 2022 celebration, participants can enjoy a “University Unity” ice cream flavor created by the Dairy Store. The ice cream will be available at the Capitol on the day of the event.
