Cheers! Nebraska Wine Passport Program Is Underway

By Karla James Mar 17, 2022 | 4:17 PM

The 2022 Nebraska Wine Passport is here. They are available at all participating winery and tasting room locations and online. This is designed to encourage visitors to travel the state and enjoy what Nebraska has to offer.

President of the Nebraska Wine and Grape Growers Association Kara Sousek tells KLIN News, “We have 32 locations across the state. Twenty-three are wineries and 9 are tasting rooms that carry mostly Nebraska wines. Included in the passport is a map so you can see where all the locations are and each page will have information on each winery.”

The Nebraska Wine Passport program kicked off in early March and will run through the end of the year. Visitors can have their passport stamped at each visit.

Sousek says the Nebraska Winery and Grape Growers Association had a record number of completed passport stamp forms turned in in 2021 and a record number of passports were requested for this year. They are optimistic that even more people will visit Nebraska’s award winning wineries in 2022.

The passports are available at all participating wineries and tasting rooms. They are also available at visitor bureaus and it can be ordered at nebraskawinepassport.com.

Those who visit 15 wineries during the year can enter into a drawing. Prizes include t-shirts, cork stoppers, wine bucks and of course, wine. Those who complete all 32 stops are entered into a grand prize drawing of a wine basket that includes a tumbler, wine, and tickets to the 2023 TOAST Nebraska Wine Festival.
