A clerk at Casey’s General Store at 47th and West Adams called Lincoln Police after a man tried to pass a counterfeit $1 bill.
Police contacted 36 year old Freddy Oliveri, who first gave officers a false name. Police determined his identity and Oliveri had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. A search turned up a fixed blade knife, 7.6 grams of methamphetamine, and $1,328 in counterfeit U.S. currency.
Oliveri had also been convicted of felony charges in Florida.
Oliveri was booked for 1st degree forgery, possessing a forged instrument, possessing a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, and possessing a controlled substance.
