As the Nebraska State High School Basketball Tournaments continue in Lincoln this week Old Man Winter will be making his presence felt if the forecast from the National Weather Service holds.
Early Tuesday morning, NWS meteorologists in Valley, NE., issued updated guidance for the area with Lincoln expected to receive between 3 and 5 inches from late Wednesday night through early Friday morning.
Heavier snow totals are expected South of Lincoln however Central Nebraska will also receive significant amounts. Winds during the storm will also cause blowing and drifting snow which can reduce visibilities.
