Seward County authorities say three people were killed in a multi vehicle crash around 5:45 Tuesday morning on I-80 near the Milford exit.
Investigators say an eastbound semi crossed the median and went into the westbound lanes and struck another semi head-on. A second westbound semi swerved to avoid the crash. That caused it to cross the median and overturn in the eastbound lanes of I-80.
Three people died at the scene. A fourth person was airlifted to Bryan Medical Center and is in critical condition. No names have been released.
The crash is being investigated by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol crash scene reconstructionist.
