Lincoln Police responded to a robbery Monday evening about 8:15 at the Casey’s store and Cotner Boulevard and Leighton. LPD Sergeant Chris Vigil says two males walked in with their faces and grabbed three bottles of liquor from the shelf.
The 20-year-old clerk asked them if they were going to pay for them, then they quickly ran out of the store without paying. A 60-year-old off-duty Casey’s employee was also in the store at the time and gave chase. One of the suspects pulled out a a pistol and pointed it at the clerk chasing them.
The clerk stopped running and the two suspects ran from the area. The total loss is estimated at $47.47. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
