Early Morning Bike Ride Leads To Arrest Of Lincoln Man

By Tom Stanton Mar 4, 2022 | 10:45 AM

Lincoln Police say around 3:30 Friday morning an officer saw 56-year-old Kevin White riding his bicycle in the 2500 block of ‘N’ Street without a headlight or taillight illuminated.  “The officer contacted White and explained the reason for the stop, at which point White became belligerent and tried to ride away from the officer,” says Captain Todd Kocian.

White was detained and the officer found a loaded .32 caliber pistol concealed in a fanny pack that White had tucked into his pants.  White had previously been convicted of several felony offenses.

White was arrested for Possessing a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Improper Bicycle Equipment for having no bicycle light.
