A man was hurt after a fire broke out at the Shadow Brook Farm and Dutch Girl Creamery in southwest Lincoln around 4:30 Monday morning. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Captain Tom Brookhouser says the 37 year old man suffered burns to his hands and face and was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Burn Unit with non-life threatening injuries.
Brookhouser says the man lived in a house on the property. His home was not damaged. Brookhouser says the building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
Damage is estimated at $200,000 and building was a total loss. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
