A 33 year old woman is recovering after being struck on the head around 6:30 p.m. Monday evening near 100 S. 11th Street. The woman told Lincoln Police she had been walking in the area when she started to argue with a man.
The man then struck her on the head with a six inch club. He then got on his bicycle and took off. The woman was bleeding but did not suffer serious injuries. She told police she did not know the man who struck her.
Police searched the area but the suspect was not found. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone who as information is asked to contact police.
