A man is facing charges after Lincoln Police say he caused a lot of damage inside the Kwik Shop at 2940 N. 14th Street around 7:00 Sunday morning.

Sergeant Chris Vigil says 28-year-old Joshua Smallfoot was asked to leave because he didn’t have a shirt on.  “He proceeded to throw the cash register on the ground, destroy a lottery machine and break numerous shelving units and the products they held.”

Vigil says Joshua’s partner, 26-year-old D’Markaus Anderson, then came into the store and punched Smallfoot in the face twice.  “Anderson then grabbed Smallfoot’s head and slammed it into a cooler door eleven times.  Smallfoot became unconscious for a short time, awoke, and proceeded to destroy more of the store.”

Officers arrived and detained both men  Smallfoot had multiple injuries and was evaluated at a local area hospital.  The damage to the store and contents is estimated to be at least $7,000 and caused the store to be closed for at least a day to assess damage and conduct repairs.

Smallfoot was arrested for Criminal Mischief over $5000 and Anderson was arrested for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault.
