Girl Scouts across Nebraska will kick off their cookie season on Friday and they will be using a number of creative and socially distanced ways to deliver their sweet treats.

“People can order online and either have cookies delivered and left on the porch or they can have them directly shipped to their home,” says Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska marketing director Shannon Peterson.  “Some troops are doing drive through booths where you don’t even have to get out of your car.  Everyone’s masked, super safe, super easy.”

Peterson says they are also doing traditional door-to-door sales.  On February 18 cookie booths will open. Each box is $5 dollars and the money stays in the state for the girls to use for fun adventures.   “So if they want to go camping or travel to Kansas City or Europe, or do a community service project, all of the money they earn goes to those activities.”
