The owner of a 2016 Dodge Ram was giving a female acquaintance a ride around 10 p.m. Saturday when he stopped at the Walmart at 27th and Superior to pick up a few things.
The 36 year old man left the keys inside the pickup along with the female passenger. When he came out a few minutes later, the pickup was gone.
The victim made a few phone calls and was able to recover the pickup but several items he had inside were gone. Those items include a Ruger 9mm handgun and $13,700 in precious metals.
So far, no arrests and the investigation continues.
