The Nebraska women’s basketball team had their four game winning streak snapped on Sunday, falling at No. 17 Maryland 80-65.
A cold start doomed the Huskers (17-5, 6-5 Big Ten). Nebraska shot just 20 percent in the first half to trail Maryland (17-6, 9-3 Big Ten) 43-20.
Nebraska outscored Maryland in each of the final two quarters, but the deficit was too large to overcome.
The Huskers ended up shooting 38.1 percent for the game, making 9-of-24 3s. The Terrapins barely edged that out, making 39.1 percent of their shots.
Ashley Scoggin paced NU with career-highs 20 points and six made 3s. Issie Bourne scored nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Another ranked opponent is up next as Nebraska travels to No. 23 Ohio State Thursday.
