Lincoln firefighters responded to a fire on the roof of the Zoetis building at 601 West Cornhusker around 8:30 Friday morning. “They were able to get it out pretty quick and mainly just with water cans. We didn’t have to deploy an actual hose line, which is good,” says LFR’s Nancy Crist.
LFR’s Nancy Crist says a construction crew was working on the roof when the fire broke out. She says it started between a metal deck and some insulation. Firefighters were able to cut through the roof to put the flames out.
The amount of damage is not yet known and there were no injuries. Zoetis is an animal health company.
