LPS Looking To Fill Nearly 100 Open Positions

By Tom Stanton Feb 3, 2022 | 1:46 PM

If you’re looking for a job Lincoln Public Schools is hiring. District Human Resources specialist Jessi Stillwagon says they will host an interview fair Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Culler Middle School at 52nd and Vine.

“We are really focusing on some of our high need classified areas right now, like paraeducators, food service workers and food service manager trainees and custodians,” Stillwagon says.

She says they have about 100 full and part time positions. Interested candidates will fill out an application and be interviewed.  She says offers of employment could be made during the fair and are subject to background checks.

The interview fair will be held in the school gym and applicants are asked to enter through door number 11.  Parking is available on the west side of the building.

She says candidates need to have an  email address, social security number and driver’s license as well as the names and e-mail addresses of at least three references.  LPS will send the references a survey to complete on the behalf of the applicants.   Stillwagon says work history,  including dates of employment, company names, addresses, phone numbers and supervisor names and email addresses will also be needed.

That information will be used to verify employment history and employability.   Interested candidates also can get a head start and fill out an application online.
