A Lincoln man is facing DUI and several other charges after crashing his pickup into a business near 27th and Vine Sunday afternoon. LPD Captain Max Hubka tells KLIN News 21-year old Ethan Younkin was northbound on 27th street and turned east on to Vine Street.
“It took too wide of a path, struck the center median and took down a street sign. The vehicle then over-corrected and drove over a curb before running into the northeast corner of the Moose’s Tooth building,” Hubka says.
Hubka says the driver then backed up and took off. They found Younkin and the pickup about four blocks away. Hubka says he had a blood alcohol level of .339, more than four times the legal limit. Damage to the building is estimated at around $75,000.
