Lincoln Police are looking for at least two men involved in a string of thefts at Joann Fabric at 220 N.66th Street dating back since last April.

The latest happened around 2:15 p.m. on January 26th. Two men walked into the store and directly to where the sewing machines were displayed. An employee approached them and they left. They returned about 30 minutes later. Each selected a Janome sewing machine and walked past the registers and out the door into a white Chevy SUV and left. The sewing machines were valued at $699.98.

Two men with similar descriptions have committed similar thefts at the store on four different occasions in the past year.

On January 5, 2022, two men walked out with four Singer sewing machines valued at $1,039.96.
On November 26, 2021, four men walked out with four Singer sewing machines valued at $519.96.
On August 24, 2021, two men walked out with two Singer sewing machines valued at $353.98.
On April 19, 2021, one man walked out with two sewing machines but the store was not able to determine a value.

The total value of the sewing machine thefts since April is $2,623.88. Officers examined surveillance video and the suspects have not been identified.
