Lincoln Police were called to the bus shelter in the 100 block of South 11th Street around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26th to investigate a disturbance.
Officers received reports that 37 year old Sylvester Hearod was yelling at others in the shelter, “I’ll cut you!”. A man approached Hearod to see what was going. Hearod then apparently turned and threatened to cut him. That man saw Hearod holding a pocket knife and he feared he would be attacked.
Officers arrived and found Hearod to be extremely intoxicated. There was a knife in his pocket. Hearod was booked for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
