Nebraska women’s basketball didn’t waste any time getting back to their winning ways.
After a layoff due to health and safety protocols and on a three game losing streak, the Huskers (14-4, 3-4 Big Ten) ran out to a 17-4 lead and didn’t look back, going on to beat Wisconsin (5-14, 2-7 Big Ten) by a score of 77-74.
Nebraska shot 47.8 percent for the game, including 8-of-25 from 3.
The Huskers had 11 different players score in the game, led by Alexis Markowski with 15 points. Sam Haiby was the only other Husker to break double figures with 11 points.
On Australia Night, the Aussie Trio of Issie Bourne, Ruby Porter, and Jaz Shelley combined for 14 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks, and two steals.
Nebraska hosts Purdue Sunday.
