Lincoln Police are investigating a burglary at Innovations Siding & Windows at 5011 South 16th Street that happened sometime between Friday evening on January 21st and Monday morning, January 24th.

Police say the thieves gained entry by prying back the exterior siding near the door. Once the siding was damaged they were able to open the door and get inside.

The suspects then found a set of keys in an office that belonged to a white 2009 GMC Sierra pickup that was parked inside the garage area. The thieves then opened the garage door and drove the pickup out of the business. Once outside, they hooked up a white 8′ X 16′ enclosed trailer that contained a seamless siding machine and took off.

The pickup and trailer both are marked with the logo “Innovations Siding & Windows”. The pickup is valued at $20,000, the trailer at $15,000 and the seamless siding machine at $100,000. The total loss is $135,000.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
