University of Nebraska Police and Lincoln Police were called to the Junction Bar at 14th and O Street just before midnight on January 22nd. Employees told officers a 21 year old man had entered the bar with an object that looked like a handgun in his sweatshirt pocket.
Officers with both departments spoke with the man on the sidewalk outside the bar. He admitted he had a gun in his pocket that turned out to be a loaded 9mm pistol.
The man was cited and released for carrying a concealed weapon but was booked on an unrelated outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant.
