From January 14th through the 20th, the University of Nebraska – Lincoln reported 2,011 positive cases of COVID-19. According to the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, they tested 17,710 students, faculty and staff during that time period. The positivity rate for the week was 11.4%.
The tests are conducted through the University Health Center and at off-campus medical facilities for their re-entry testing program.
The University started testing on August 15, 2020 and recorded 293,187 tests. Out of those, 8.312 were positive. That brings the positivity rate to 2.38%.
The University is partnering with the Lincoln – Lancaster County Health Department and will hold a vaccination – booster clinic on January 26th. The vaccines will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. Vaccinations will also be available in the East Nebraska Union’s Prairie Suite from 3 to 6 p.m.
