Lincoln Police were called to the 600 block of N. 55th Street around 6:15 p.m. on January 23rd to investigate a collision. The owner of an F-150 called police that his vehicle had been parked in a driveway and was hit by a GMC Sierra driven by 33 year old Jeffrey Schuster. The pickup owner told police that Schuster and another occupant in the Sierra were unconscious.

Police and LFR arrived and had to break a window on the Sierra to get inside. Schuster appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and both he and his passenger were taken to a hospital.

Officers found a small baggie with marijuana, a syringe filled with an unknown substance, and other paraphernalia that contained meth residue inside the vehicle.

Schuster was later booked for possession of a controlled substance, DUI -2nd offense, refusal of a chemical test, driving on a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.  The passenger was not yet cited.
