Nebraska women’s basketball is facing their first postponement of the season.
The Huskers have called off their Thursday game against Rutgers due to “health and safety protocols within the Husker program.” Tickets purchased will be refunded to ticket holders after the conclusion of the season.
Amended Big Ten Conference Forfeiture Guidelines for the 2021-22 season detail that the league office will attempt to reschedule the game. If it is not rescheduled, the game will officially count as a “no contest” for both teams.
The next scheduled game is Sunday at Illinois, though that is also in doubt.
