Lincoln Habitat ReStore Moving to New Location

By Karla James Jan 18, 2022 | 3:29 PM

Lincoln’s Habitat ReStore is moving to a new location.

Director of Development Deanna Walz tells KLIN News, “This is exciting news. Our Habitat ReStore is growing. We need a new location. We are going to be moving to 56th and Highway 2 in the space formally owned by K-Mart. It is going to be at least twice the size and it is going to be really spread out so people will be able to walk around and really see all the great materials that we have. ”

The move will allow customers to purchase discounted building materials, appliances, new and gently used furniture, and more at discount prices while helping out a good cause. The ReStore is owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln and all proceeds go towards the mission of building affordable homes in Lancaster County.

Walz says the official opening date will be announced by mid-March. Donations of store supplies are now being accepted. Walz says the donations are needed now more than ever to fill up their new space. Needed items include appliances, cabinets, furniture, building materials, and home décor. Donations can be dropped off at their current location at 46th and Y Street. Pick-ups can also be scheduled by calling 402-464-0010.

Walz says donations and volunteers keep their doors open. Those interested in helping out should go to lincolnhabitatrestore.org for details.
