Nebraska Senator Mike Flood formally announced his candidacy for the 1st Congressional District seat now held by Nebraska US Congressman Jeff Fortenberry.
In a Capitol Rotunda news conference Flood outlined his career in Nebraska politics and business.
He then turned his attention to the current majority in the House of Representatives saying, “It is clear to anybody paying attention that, today, our nation stands at a crossroads. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are using the House of Representatives to ram through a radical, socialist agenda that would destroy the nation we love.”
Without mentioning Jeff Fortenberry by name he said, “If our nominee has to focus on beating felony criminal charges instead of defeating a serious Democratic opponent, we risk defeat in November.”
