Lincoln Police responded to threats of a shooting during a disturbance Sunday evening in the 1700 block of Q Street. LPD Captain Max Hubka says when officers arrived the suspect had left the scene. “Officers were then trying to calm a disturbance that was still ongoing involving family members in the apartment.
Hubka tells KLIN News a neighbor told officers that the suspect was hiding in a neighboring apartment. Officers evacuated the other occupants of that apartment and called out the suspect. “He was thankfully cooperative and taken into custody without incident. Hubka says inside that apartment they located the suspect’s gun and some marijuana.
20-year old Damian Wilkinson was charged with making terroristic threats and carrying a concealed weapon.
