Overnight Friday into Saturday, January 7th and 8th, at least eight vehicles were entered or broken into along 84th Street between Holdrege and Fremont Streets.

One of the victims reported that a credit card was taken. The thief tried to use it at the U-Stop at 6400 N. Street. Another victim reported that the cremated ashes of their three deceased dogs were taken. The vehicles were entered through either unlocked doors or a window was broken to gain entry.

The estimated total damage is $550 and the estimated loss is $1,706.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.

Lincoln Police also remind residents to not leave valuables in their vehicles.

This is the same time period where a vehicle in Waverly was stolen and several other vehicles were broken into.  That investigation also continues.
